Mar 16, 2012  Thrustmaster Flight Hotas X - posted in General Discussions: Hello,I am brand new here. I played the original Sierra Red Baron until the discs turned to dust, but have not owned a flight sim since that time. When I saw RoF, I got excited again about the genre and downloaded it. I want to buy a reasonable control unit, but, I am retired and on a limited income.

New here and to Flight Gear.
I had Flight Sim X on steam but as it doesnt support True Triple Screen setup i seen Flightgear by chance and it said TRUE multiple display support so hear I am. Quite happy with what it is.
Got most things setup right but a bit stuck on the Joystick.
The Issue-
I went into the Joystick xml in the Input in the FG root.
Now the issue i have is as per below

'<!-- Trigger (R1) -->
<button n='0'>
<desc>Button R1(1) (trigger): Brakes + reset to pilot view</desc>
<repeatable type='bool'>true</repeatable>
<binding>

'
The Trigger button is for the Brake as well as the reset pilot view. So everytime i land and hit the brakes it resets the pilot view. I always have to adjust the FOV everytime i hit the brakes.
Now what would happen or Can i just delete the 'reset pilot view' and have the setting as
'<!-- Trigger (R1) -->
<button n='0'>
<desc>Button R1(1) (trigger): Brakes </desc>
<repeatable type='bool'>true</repeatable>
<binding>

'Driver
Will this Work ??

Your post somehow found its way to a low-traffic forum about technical issues with posting in Apple Support Communities. If you tell us what Mac product you have, we can ask the Hosts to move you to a more active and appropriate forum for your product.

I like flight sims and have an older X-Plane version on a geriatric Mac in the spare room. I can tell you that there are very few flight simmers around here...you will probably get a more detailed and faster response in the x-plane.org forums or the X-Plane forums at AVSIM:

In the older version I still use (v7.30), the only 'goober' with setting up the joystick was if you tried to make the stick less sensitive, bad things starting happening.
